Snow fun

Last year we received very little snow.  That didn't stop my boys from enjoying it.

They played on that little patch of snow for about an hour.  I used Imaginisce 'Christmas Cheer' paper, 3D dots, brads and Stickles.

Happy Holidays!

Hello!  Welcome to the 'Heavenly Christmas Bloghop'

Sometimes we all need a little pick me up and a way to remember the reason for the season.  I hope this hop helps with that.  I made this card to share.

I used Imaginisce 'Christmas Cheer,' 3D dots and 'Diamond' Stickles.

If you came here from Melissa you are right on track.  If not, here is a complete list of the blogs for today.

Your Turn

I am still very sore and not doing much due to my broken ribs.  But I found a few pictures of projects I haven't posted yet.  This one is of my son playing with his animals.

They all had so much fun.  I used Imaginisce, Thickers, 3D dots and products from the Eyelet Outlet.

Warmest Wishes

As you know, I'm making cards for the holiday season.  This one is super cute.  I might not send it....

I used an action wobble behind the mug so it bounces.  For the steam, I glues only the middle so it stand up a little.  The paper is Bo Bunny Powder Mountain and DCWV with a Scrappy Moms stamp.

This card fit nicely into the challenge at Cut It Up.

Future GD

I have some good news.  In September 2013 I will be the Guest Designer for Scrappy Moms Stamps blog!  Whoo Hoo!  Isn't that great?  I'll get to design for my favorite stamp company.  I'm so excited I don't know if I can wait that long.  :-)

Here is the official list of 2013 guest designers.

Have a great day.

Winter Wishes

Hello.  I have been making a lot of holiday cards and it doesn't seem like I'll have enough!  Here is a blue and white one I made:

I used the 'George and Basic Shapes' cartridge with paper from Bo Bunny's 'Powder Mountain collection, ribbon, SP & Co. stamps, 3D dots and Crystal Stickles.

Other blog challenges are gearing up for the holiday season too.  This card fits for Fantabulous Cricut, Use It Tuesday, and Hiding in My Craft Room challenges.

Have a great and scrappy weekend!

Cheery card

I am right in the middle of making all my handmade holiday cards.  Here is another one.

This paper is so cute!  I love how playful yet sophisticated this card is.

I used Imaginisce 'Christmas Cheer' paper, EK Success 3D dots and 'Diamond' Stickles.

Snow-fun

It took a few months, but I finally printed and scrapped these photos of the boys playing in the snow.  I'm glad I did it before it starts to snow this winter.

I put this together at a crop.  I love when the papers help with most of the designing.  The hearts are a 'Fancy Pants' transparency.  The snowflakes are a punch.  I really like how this turned out.

Harvesting Memories Bloghop

Hello!  Welcome to my part of the 'Harvesting Memories' bloghop.

You should have come here from Haidee.  If you want to start at the beginning, go to Lisa's blog.

For this hop we all made something relating to fall.  My project is this card.

I used an 'Action Wobble' behind the leaf so it will bounce all over like it's floating in the wind.  All the leaves are die cuts, punches or paper from DCWV.  Mustard 'Stickles' also dot the card.  I think this is festive and rather cheerful.

Please continue on to Melissa's blog.  If you want to see the whole list of blogs, here it is:

In the car too

Monkey see, monkey do.  That is why he jumped in the car with Daddy too.  (That rhymed, what luck.)

I assembled this at a crop which is why it's simpler than some other layouts.  I added the ribbon and brads at home.  Isn't it cute?

In the car

My son hopped in the car with his Dad.  Of course they paused for me to take a picture.

I scrapped this at a crop, that is why it's simpler and has mostly paper.  I still love how it turned out.

Love Presents card

'Tis the season to make a lot of cards.  This one has a wintery background, but I'm sure it can be used for any occasion.

I used EK Success 3D dots to make the tag and green bag stand out.  There is actual tissue paper in the bag.  DCWV paper provides all the shimmer and bling and I added a few Stickles accents in the corners.

I can't wait to send it to someone.

'THANKful' Bloghop Day 2

I hope you all enjoyed hopping with us yesterday.  Today we have even more creations to share for
the ‘Thankful’ Bloghop!  This is the time of year we really reflect on what we have to be thankful for.  One of those things I am thankful for is scrapbooking and all the crafts, supplies and people that go along with it.  A group of people is joining me today, and tomorrow, to share projects that all have the word ‘thank’ on them.

Yesterday I shared my fall decor project.  Today I have a cute card to share.

It took less than 30 minutes to make this card.  I used Imaginisce and DCWV paper with a Scrappy Moms stamp and a brad.  For me, using purple was a bonus.

For my project, I had a great time making some fall decor for the house.

To make it stand upright I bent the grassy ends and made a support for the back of the tree.

I used 'Happy Hauntings,' 'Spring Fever,' 'Winter's In The Air,' and 'SpongeBob' cartridges with DCWV paper, Fiskars stamps, ink, brads, floss, Prisma Color Markers and Thickers.

Now please check out all the other AWESOME projects everyone created.  Here is the line up for today:

'Not' Peeking

My boys were told to cover their eyes while things were being hidden.  They almost made it...

My younger son started peering through his eyes first.

This layout is simpler but I really like how it turned out.  It has Fancy Pants, DCWV, Paper Studio, and Thickers.

Guest Designer for CYP

I am a Guest Designer for Craft Your Passion today.  Today is Challenge #134 - Photo Inspiration.  We all used this photo to spark our creativity.

I made a Thanksgiving card.  The basic shapes of the sunset around a single tree led to the turkey with the green background.   I like the softness that the ribbons around it add.

All the materials are scraps from other projects.  It always feels good to use that part of my stash.  I used DCWV, Imaginisce, Create a Critter 2 cartridge, Scrappy Moms stamps, ink and ribbons.

Please stop by CYP and see all the other projects that everyone made.

Have a great day!

Disney Bloghop for Rett Syndrome Awareness - Day 1

Welcome to the First Annual Blog Hop for Rett Syndrome Awareness

Your first stop should have been at Robin Lane's Blog, if you did not start there please go back to the beginning...

What is Rett Syndrome? Rett Syndrome is a devastating neurologic developmental disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls. It is usually caused by a mutation of the MECP2 gene on the X chromosome. Rett Syndrome is found in all racial and ethnic groups throughout the world, and in every socioeconomic class. Rett Syndrome affects 1 in 15,000 female births.

Early developmental milestones appear normal, but between 6-18 months of age, there is a delay or regression in development, particularly affecting speech, hand skills and coordination. A hallmark of Rett Syndrome is the repetitive hand movements that may include seizures, irregular breathing, swallowing difficulties, and curvature of the spine.  There is currently no cure, but many individuals with Rett Syndrome live well into adulthood.

For this blog hop I made 4 cards.

Each card has a different character,

heart brads,

and some ribbon

holding a tag with the sentiment.

Each one will have encouraging words inside and will be donated to 'Project Sunshine & Smiles,' an organization that sends cards to children in hospitals.  You can donate to them too.

Plus, there's this from Robin:

Muffins...?

I love the way kids interpret things.  We asked my son to get out the things for making muffins.  The items we expected to see was the box mix, a bowl, the muffin trays, measuring cups, etc.  Instead, he did this:

He got the muffin trays and a whole bunch of other random baking things from the pantry.  Ah, so fun.

I used DCWV, Momenta, Paper Studio, Eyelet Outlet brads, American Crafts and Color Box ink.

Guest Designer for CYP

Today I am the Guest Designer for Craft Your Passion.  This week is Challenge #133, Fairies and Fantasy.  We all had the chance to use a digi from Delicious Doodles and I chose 'Angel with Baby.'

I used colors and a sentiment that are generic so this card can be for any occasion or gender.   DCWV, Cloud 9, Prisma Color, Scrappy Moms stamps and Rubber Stampede ink were used to make this card.

Please stop by CYP and check out all the other great projects that were made for this week.

Tie card

I got some new stamps from 'Scrappy Moms' and HAD to play with them.  The first thing I made was a masculine card.

It's cute, simple and masculine.  Now I need a reason to use it....

The paper is DCWV 'Guy' stack with brads and Delta Creative 'Scarlet' ink.

Guest Designer for CYP

I'm the October Guest Designer at Craft Your Passion.  This weeks Challenge #132 is Which Witch is Which?

We all had the opportunity to use a witch digi from A Day For Daisies.  I chose the 'Pretty Witch' for my 'Happy Fall' card.

Isn't she great?  The witch looks awesome flying over the pumpkin patch.

I colored the digi with Prisma Color markers then used Imaginisce and DCWV papers with EK Sucess 3D dots to make the sentiment stand out.

Please stop by CYP and check out all the other great projects.

Beary Thankful

This card appears to sweet and calm.

I used 2 pieces of the same pattern Momenta paper from PA-1124 to weave the background.  Bears from the Eyelet Outlet, Stickles and a sentiment sticker from Momenta's ST-3301complete the card.

Fall cards

Here are a few fall cards I made quickly.

They each have DCWV and Imaginisce paper with a punch and a Scrappy Moms stamp.

They turned out great.  I sent these along with some other cards to Operation Write Home for the soldiers.

World Card Making Day

**For the Scrap Happens Bloghop please go HERE**

I have been busy making cards to celebrate World Card Making Day.  I scrapped all day and made 10 cards.

I used a lot of Momenta products on all the cards.  You can also see these on the Paper Issues facebook page for their contest today.

All of these will be submitted to Operation Write Home for the soldiers to send to their families via the Paper Crafts Magazine.
