July Pet challenge
This month I am hosting the pet challenge on scrapbook.com. I chose the optional twist to be primary colors.
We were cleaning the carpets on the first floor, so Logan was brought upstairs. The bunny keeps thinking he's a kid too.
I used Paper Studio and DCWV paper, ink and brads.

This week at HIMCR we used any kind of critter stamp, cut out,

I used a lot of Thickers, brads and various paper brands for this. I love how it turned out.
I hope you link a new project to HIMCR this week. They are giving away a Cricut cartridge!

New heights
I bought the kids some stools. This led to them reaching new heights, literally. When I bought them, I didn't know they'd be able reach the upper cabinets with the stools.
It's a simpler layout, but I really wanted the picture to stand out. I love this photo.

HIMCR DT #102 - Die Cuts
This week at HIMCR we are using die cuts, that includes punches too!
I made this layout with the NEGATIVE part of the die cut.
I'm not sure if you can read it, but the die cut says 'BRANDED.' The black paper is raised with 3D adhesive. I tried to make it look like the word was branded onto the paper, like farmers do with livestock.
I used Paper Studio and DCWV paper, Storybook cartridge, stickers, ribbon, red ink and 3D adhesive.
Please link up your die cut projects to HIMCR too.

Mardi Gras Blog Hop
Welcome to the “Mardi Gras" Blog Hop!
It's Carnival Time in the Big Easy a/k/a New Orleans and we are celebrating with our own Parade! A parade of paper crafts! We're so happy you could join us today!
If you came from An' Jenic then you are in the right place. If not please start at Miranda's Blog http://www.nanasscrapspot.com/ , we don't want you to miss any of the fun!
In addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy available too. Miranda will be giving away a Michael’s gift card. To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment! The winner will be announced on Friday on Miranda's blog http://www.nanasscrapspot.com/.
My project is this layout:
Technically, this was New Year's Eve at our house. However, the beads and party food are a way of celebrating Mardi Gras. I tried to make the Stickles look like beads in between the small photos and along the blue mirror paper stripe border.
I used Paper Studio papers, red Sprinkle Thickers, Candy Cane, Diamond and Lime Green Stickles.
Next on the hop is Amanda.
SHOULD YOU GET LOST ALONG THE WAY, HERE IS THE ENTIRE LINE UP:

Happy quilt
I've been in quite the card making mood lately. Here is another I just finished. I love how this turned out. It's now one of my all time favorite cards.
I used 4 different patterned purple paper (what a tongue twister!) with some blue card stock for the quilted background. Waterfall stickles and black ink accent the blue grid. The pinky/peachy square with the sentiment has brads and is on 3D adhesives. The heart was colored in with marker.
I submitted this for the Cards In Envy blog DT call. Good luck to everyone that enters.

Love Ewe
Hello! I hope your new year is going well. I've finished reorganizing and putting everything away. The first thing I made this year is a card.
It will be great for a Valentine's or Mother's Day card. I used Momenta and Paper Studio papers, George and Basic Shapes cartridge, Prisma Color Markers, ribbon, brads, Black Diamond, Barn Door and Frosted Lace Stickles. It's a little hard to see the Frosted Lace hearts and line under the sentiment in the picture, but it's there.
This card was entered in the 'Black & White +1 other color' challenge at Hiding In My Craftroom.
Have a great day!

'Not' Peeking
My boys were told to cover their eyes while things were being hidden. They almost made it...
My younger son started peering through his eyes first.
This layout is simpler but I really like how it turned out. It has Fancy Pants, DCWV, Paper Studio, and Thickers.

Muffins...?
I love the way kids interpret things. We asked my son to get out the things for making muffins. The items we expected to see was the box mix, a bowl, the muffin trays, measuring cups, etc. Instead, he did this:
He got the muffin trays and a whole bunch of other random baking things from the pantry. Ah, so fun.
I used DCWV, Momenta, Paper Studio, Eyelet Outlet brads, American Crafts and Color Box ink.

Pirates!
In July, we went to Annapolis, MD to visit Uncle Matt. While we were there we went on a pirate ship. I LOVED it. The kids thought it was cool too.
Thanks to the quick shot feature on my camera, I took 1,900 photos in an hour and a half. I did my best to print out the ones that really showed all the activities the boys did on the ship. My 2 page layout turned into a 3 page spread.
The last 2 pages will be together in the scrapbook. All the pictures of the water cannons ended up on 2 pages and I even cut a picture. For me, that is a big deal.
Here is a closer look at the first page. You can see the boat, the pirate dress, their 'tattoos,' my older son helping to hoist the flag, and my younger son with the coveted coin for the map.
Page 2 shows the treasure they found and part of the water cannon photos. It also has a really cool pirate ship I cut out with the Cricut and 3 different cartridges. The brad creating the Jolly Roger flag is awesome!
Then the last page of the spread. This shows the boys squirting the scallywag in another boat, getting 'groggy' from the soda and group photos.
All my favorite stuff is on this layout. It has photos of my family during an awesome adventure, brads, eyelets, and my Cricut. The only thing it's missing is Stickles. I know this layout doesn't have a bunch of papers or techniques, but it's still one of my most beloved layouts.
Products used:
Cricut:
George & Basic Shapes (alphas)
My World (ship)
Everyday Paper Dolls (water)
Indie Art (cloud)
Cake Seasonal Sampler (3 skull and cross bones)
Eyelet Outlet
Brads: 4 ships, 5 pirate hats, 5 skull and cross bones, 4 arrows
Eyelets: 2 wine bottles
Crop a Dile

Dump trucks
Our driveway is currently made stones and that is perfect for little boys and dump trucks.
It felt really good to make this, especially since I used to many different things. I love how it all came together. I can't wait to make more.
Paper (Paper Studio, Debbie Mumm), brads (Eyelet Outlet), Stickles (Yellow, Chipped Sapphire), stickers (Reminisce, Recollections, Momenta), vellum (DCWV), and the Cricut (B is for Boy, Graphically Speaking).
