Memorial Day Weekend Bloghop with OWH

This is my second post today, please scroll down for the HIMCR 'Father's Day' post.

This weekend I'm proud to be a part of the memorial Day Weekend blog hop with Operation Write Home.


We all used sketches to make thank you cards for our deployed troops to send home to their family and friends.  Here are the 2 I made:


These were based on sketch 165.


 I had so much fun making these.


The blue one has Basic Grey for the background.  The other has Fancy Pants for the background.  I also used DCWV, Ek Success Punch, American Crafts stamps and ink.

    I love these cards. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about them that is so pretty. Maybe it's the soft colors and vertical stripes. Great job!

    I love the border punching along top & bottom of the strip though the middle. nice paper choices, use of small hearts as little embellishments really works well!
