Guest Designer for CYP
I am a Guest Designer for Craft Your Passion today. Today is Challenge #134 - Photo Inspiration. We all used this photo to spark our creativity.
I made a Thanksgiving card. The basic shapes of the sunset around a single tree led to the turkey with the green background. I like the softness that the ribbons around it add.
All the materials are scraps from other projects. It always feels good to use that part of my stash. I used DCWV, Imaginisce, Create a Critter 2 cartridge, Scrappy Moms stamps, ink and ribbons.
Please stop by CYP and see all the other projects that everyone made.
Have a great day!

Disney Bloghop for Rett Syndrome Awareness - Day 1
Welcome to the First Annual Blog Hop for Rett Syndrome Awareness
Your first stop should have been at Robin Lane's Blog, if you did not start there please go back to the beginning...
What is Rett Syndrome? Rett Syndrome is a devastating neurologic
developmental disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls. It is
usually caused by a mutation of the MECP2 gene on the X chromosome.
Rett Syndrome is found in all racial and ethnic groups throughout the
world, and in every socioeconomic class. Rett Syndrome affects 1 in
15,000 female births.
Early developmental milestones appear
normal, but between 6-18 months of age, there is a delay or regression
in development, particularly affecting speech, hand skills and
coordination. A hallmark of Rett Syndrome is the repetitive hand
movements that may include seizures, irregular breathing, swallowing
difficulties, and curvature of the spine. There is currently no cure, but many individuals with Rett Syndrome live well into adulthood.

For this blog hop I made 4 cards.
Each card has a different character,
heart brads,
and some ribbon
holding a tag with the sentiment.
Each one will have encouraging words inside and will be donated to 'Project Sunshine & Smiles,' an organization that sends cards to children in hospitals. You can donate to them too.

Muffins...?
I love the way kids interpret things. We asked my son to get out the things for making muffins. The items we expected to see was the box mix, a bowl, the muffin trays, measuring cups, etc. Instead, he did this:
He got the muffin trays and a whole bunch of other random baking things from the pantry. Ah, so fun.
I used DCWV, Momenta, Paper Studio, Eyelet Outlet brads, American Crafts and Color Box ink.

Tie card
I got some new stamps from 'Scrappy Moms' and HAD to play with them. The first thing I made was a masculine card.
It's cute, simple and masculine. Now I need a reason to use it....
The paper is DCWV 'Guy' stack with brads and Delta Creative 'Scarlet' ink.

Guest Designer for CYP
I'm the October Guest Designer at Craft Your Passion. This weeks Challenge #132 is Which Witch is Which?
We all had the opportunity to use a witch digi from A Day For Daisies. I chose the 'Pretty Witch' for my 'Happy Fall' card.
Isn't she great? The witch looks awesome flying over the pumpkin patch.
I colored the digi with Prisma Color markers then used Imaginisce and DCWV papers with EK Sucess 3D dots to make the sentiment stand out.
Please stop by CYP and check out all the other great projects.

Scrap Happens 2nd Blogaversary Bloghop
Congratulations to Scrap Happens, Embellish it! They are celebrating their 2nd blogaversary this weekend.
To celebrate, we are having a bloghop. If you are going in order, you came here from Robin Carroll.
In a way, I made 2 things. First I made the stop sign cake for my son's birthday (with my mom's supervision of course). Then I made this layout showcasing it.
Both times I got to use my Cricut! How cool is that? I used the 'Going Places' cartridge as a template for the cake then to make the stop signs on the layout. Yey!
I also used DCWVpaper, Basic Grey lace, with Bella Blvd and Lily Bee Design alphas.
Every party needs presents! So as you enjoy all the different projects, I hope you are leaving comments on all the blogs. Jenn is offering this as a gift to someone.
Your next stop is Lori Apgar. Just in case, here is the list of today's participants.

Happy Fall Tree
I love fall and this year I want to make more of our seasonal decor. Today I made this tree wall hanging. It displays all my favorite things about fall. There's a lot of color, pumpkins, apples, a football, all the good stuff.
My Cricut really got a work out making this. It made ALL the cuts. I didn't use my regular trimmer even once. Wow.
I used 'Spring Seasonal' for the tree; 'Winters in the Air' for the leaves, pumpkins and football; 'My World' for the apples; and 'Sponge Bob' for the sign. The tree is 11 1/2" tall, the leaves are 2", the football is 1 1/2", the pumpkins are 2 1/2" tall the apples are 3/4" and the sign is cut at 2 1/2". It fills the wall nicely.
I also used DCWV, Cloud 9 and Momenta papers, Rubber Stampede ink, Prisma Color markers and Scrappy Moms stamps.
A bonus is this fits in with the fall challenge at Erica's Craft Room. Soon anyone will be able to vote for their favorite entry. The winner gets a DT spot. Good luck everyone!

Gamers
My husband introduced the kids to the world of video games. One of their favorite to play together is 'Sonic the Hedgehog.' I tried to make the layout look like one of the boards they play.
The fox from the Woodland Animals set at the Eyelet Outlet was perfect for the character 'Tails.' I used a printout for 'Sonic.'
Paper Studio and DCWV papers with EK Success 3D Dots, Bella Blvd 'Sophisticates' aplhas and 'Plantin Schoolbook' cartridge were also used on this layout.

A Deer card
This card is great for guys, the fall, or any other occasion. The colors are muted and calming. I like the simplicity of all the elements.
The deer are a great accent and they can be found at the Eyelet Outlet and my guest post on their blog. The heart is from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. The papers are DCWV, the ink is Rubber Stampede and the sentiment is Fiskars.

Today I am a Guest Designer for Craft Your Passion. Challenge #130 is Save the Hooters for Breast Cancer Awareness - Think Pink. I used an owl digi stamp from Regina Easter.
