August uglies

Hello.  I'm sorry I was gone for so long.  We had 2 groups of out-of-town family visit.  With all the cleaning, visiting and making an album for my grandma, I didn't have time for anything else.  After I have all the pics, I will show you the album I made.

Until then, here is the 'ugly' paper someone sent me for this month's challenge on scrapbook.com:

These colors were great for me.  With 2 boys, I knew I'd have something to coordinate.

Here is the layout:

It's my boys playing with chalk.  I used the striped paper as the background.  I used some red from the other sheet to mat the center pic.  I fussy cut some of the larger petals and used them to write caption in for each of the pics.  I think it turned out pretty good.
